dust in the windows, the open creaking door
garden of trees, remembers care no more

a fallen fireplace, bricks once laid with love

heard stories, laughter; covered dreams and fears
witnessed the sickness, the health, the joy, the tears
whom they were that built it
whom they were who lived in it
next to yards of gravel, the paths that led away
to the place of new hope, to strange and vivid lights
and those who lived in houses, built by hearts and arms
they sailed away, left their fields and farms
where did they go

Finnish post/folk-rock band Captain Cougar release a new work titled “Bonnie” on 21st April
2023.
The music is difficult to categorise or label, it breathes differently with each song. This sort of stylistic ambiguity has always been a trademark of this group during their 15-year journey, which includes three earlier releases (Chapters 2007, Of Dreams Long Gone 2010, Åkerblomrörelsen 2014).
